The Arts Council at Nouveau Classical Project
Spring Gala : Spain & The Madrilenian Scene
6 PM RECEPTION / 7 PM CONCERT / 8 PM DINNER
Spring 2016 will be The Arts Council’s Opening Gala and will celebrate the 35th anniversary of El Concierto de Primavera, a historical concert that gathered fifteen thousand people on May 23, 1981 at the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Madrid in Madrid, Spain. People danced into the resurrection of the economy in Spain and the emergence of a new Spanish Identity which produced a countercultural movement called La Movida Madrileña (The Madrilenian Scene).
The Arts Council at NCP is a group of arts and culture enthusiasts that share a passion for contemporary classical music and innovation in the arts. Members attend a curated mix of exclusive events from private museum tours to behind-the-scenes rehearsal sessions, and salon concerts. This important group helps expand NCP’s fundraising efforts which supports its mission of promoting contemporary classical music to new audiences. The Arts Council creates a platform for dialogue between NCP's audience and cultural institutions, ultimately creating opportunities for members to engage in meaningful hands-on activities through NCP's dynamic and growing artistic cultural community.
