The Nouveau Classical Project is a contemporary classical music ensemble that is "bringing a refreshing edge to the widely conservative genre" (VICE). We started by working with fashion designers to create music-inspired looks for musicians, and now we collaborate with a variety of artists on concerts. 

Join us in honoring composer Paola Prestini and Titania Inglis with the NCP Visionary Award. This award recognizes innovative leaders whose work has made a significant impact in their fields. The evening will feature NCP playing music by living composers, fine food and drink, silent auction, and the presentation of the NCP Visionary Award. 

For our 2016-17, we're doing more than we have before: Potential Energies will be released on Philip Glass’s record label, Orange Mountain Music; we're going to the University of Maryland to perform our Sacred-Profane program; and we'll premiere four new commissions by composers Olga Bell, David Bird, Peter Kramer, and Isaac Schankler.
